Act1, Scene1 The Library at the Chateau

Belle Bardot young, fresh and radiant in a diaphanous robe of sensual silk kneels in a bracelet position by the large open fire; the library is otherwise empty.  The door to the Chateau opens and dashingly handsome Bernard Depardieu dressed in an elegant morning suit enters and bounds up the stairs to the library. 

Narrator: It is a cold evening in Northern Europe and Fred groans at the pain in his joints as he wheezingly pokes at the small coal fire fumbling for yet another cigarette.
